Tonight, George Zimmerman — who is currently facing second degree murder charges for killing Trayvon Martin — participated in a highly unusual interview on Fox News with Sean Hannity.

Hannity asked Zimmerman if he regretted getting out of his car to follow Trayvon, carrying a gun, or anything at all about the night he killed Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman said he regretted nothing because he believed “it was all God’s plan.” He also said there isn’t anything he would do differently in retrospect.

Earlier, Zimmerman did reiterate his apology to Martin’s family, which he first made during his first bail hearing. He added he would like an apology from Spike Lee and other critics, stating “if I did something wrong I would apologize.”

Can someone take this fool out? Like forreal, end his ass. I ain’t got time for turn the other cheek bullshit.

Wow, that bigot fuck thinks he can justify killing a child in cold blood, in the name of God. Will scum like this ever stop?!?! I really hate this world sometimes! :(

This is exactly my problem with Religion. People use it as an excuse to justify their awful choices, their crimes, and their sins, either by taking a dusty old book too literally or by just dismissing it as “God’s Will”. Your Religion is supposed to set your morality, not the other way around.

Apparently there’s a petition going around to not only get the members of Westboro Baptist Church banned from the frequent flyer program but to also get them on the No-Fly List…

I dislike the WBC as much as the next person, but not only does this seem ineffective, it’s also just a touch unconstitutional.

Yes, they’ll picket any high school with a GSA. Yes, they protest funerals. Yes, they’re terrible, awful, soul-less, evil shells of human beings, but this doesn’t give anyone the right to take away their rights. They haven’t committed any crimes (they spend mad cash making sure of that), and they’re basically inoffensive. They’re a bunch of media-whores and they have attorneys on retainer just begging  for people to do something stupid like this that basically infringes on their rights as American citizens. All this does is give them the media attention they don’t deserve and a huge dose of “please sue us”.

You know how we should be dealing with the WBC? By ignoring them. Completely. Block them from your memory and your mind. They’re not some kind of huge political machine that has any kind of power; they’re a bunch of assholes who like having their names in the papers and on the news so they go around doing asshole things and the media eats it up. If we could just stop buying into their trolling they would quickly fade into obscurity, but we just keep dredging them into the spotlight by engaging them.

Don’t feed the trolls, guys. Leave them alone.
